Funeral services for Ellen T. Wilson, 84, of Williston, SC will be held one p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Elko Baptist Church with the Eastern Star Rites accorded; burial will be in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery by the airport. The family will receive friends from twelve noon until the time of the service on Thursday at the church. Mrs. Ellen passed away Monday, November 17, 2014.
Born in Hemingway, SC, she was a daughter of the late Jesse Furman Thompson and Minnie Ella Lyerly Pope and was married to the late Calvin Olin “C.O.” Wilson, Jr. She was a member of Elko Baptist Church, the Ackerman Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #198 and Wagener Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #38. She previously worked at Bud Berman Sportswear Manufacturer, Webster’s Pharmacy in Barnwell and was a cashier at Bolen’s Red & White in Williston for a number of years.
Survivors include sons, Calvin O. (Diane) Wilson, III, Wayne D. (Melinda) Wilson of Williston; grandchildren, Heather (Neal) Chambers, Kelly (Joshua) Wilcox, Jessica (Brad) All, W. Dalton (Leah) Wilson, Jr.; great grandchildren, Lindsay Wilcox, Emma Chambers, Robbie Wilcox, Caroline All; brother-in-law, Dennis Cooper and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Aleta Cooper. Memorial contributions may be sent in Mrs. Ellen’s memory to Regency Hospice, 1890 St. Matthews Road, Orangeburg, SC 29118.
