Funeral services for Arthur Earl Beasley, 86, of Williston, SC will be held eleven a.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2014 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston with the Reverends Cindy Fuller and Tom Summers officiating; burial will be in the Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent in Mr. Beasley’s memory to Williston United Methodist Church, 6030 Springfield Rd. Williston, SC 29853. Mr. Beasley passed away at home on Sunday November 16, 2014.
Born in Franklin County, Alabama he was a son of the late Arthur and Rosie Gann Beasley and married the late Willie Mae Duboise Beasley on December 17, 1949. Mr. and Mrs. Beasley moved to Williston in 1952, where they became members of the Williston United Methodist Church. Earl was in the United Methodist Men’s Club and served on various committees including parish relations and was a trustee. He retired from E.I. DuPont after 37 years where he was an operator in raw materials and was a senior supervisor in reactor training and operations. Mr. Beasley had a love for golf and was a member of the Williston Country Club. Earl enjoyed talking and playing his mandolin with the Over the Hill Band which played in the White Pond Community Center for many years.
Survivors include his two sons, Karl (Patricia) Beasley of Williston, SC and Jim (Carla) Beasley of Aiken, SC; 4 grandchildren, Seth Beasley, Michael Davis, Mallory Beasley, and Ashley Grimes; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy Love, Helen Kimbrough and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded death by grandsons, Joel and Chad Beasley; brothers, Harold and Other Beasley; sisters, Eathel Bentley and Myrtle Raburn.
