Funeral services for Mackenzie Scott Webster, 16, of Williston, SC will be held eleven a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Elko Baptist Church, with the Reverend Tom Baker officiating. Burial will be in The Williston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from five until eight Monday evening at Folk Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Elko Baptist Church, PO Box 277, Elko, SC 29826 or to the JDA Athletic Fund, 5061 Hilda Road, Blackville, SC 29817. Mackenzie met Jesus face to face and joined his “PaPa” in heaven on Friday, July 18, 2014.
Born in Aiken, SC he was a son of Kevin Ray Webster and Karen Crider Webster.
Mackenzie was a member of Elko Baptist Church. He was a rising senior at Jefferson Davis Academy where he proudly wore #3 for the varsity football, baseball and basketball teams. He was student body President, a member of the Beta Club, the National Honor Society and “FCA” Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, he worked for Johnson’s Feed and Seed in Williston and Williams Farms.
Mackenzie’s family include his parents, Kevin and Karen; brothers, Matthew Dutton and Mitchell Julius Webster, all of the home; maternal grandparents, Jo Schumpert Crider and the late Julius “Jay” Victor Crider, Jr.; maternal great-grandparents, Blanche Bessinger Crider and the late Julius Victor Crider, Sr. and the late Elma H. Schumpert and Ralph L. Schumpert; paternal grandparents, Julie Ray Webster and the late Harry Goodman Webster; paternal great-grandparents, the late Linder Lee Ray and Dobie Ray; the late Peal Wise and Elsie Webster Wise; uncle, Brian (Ashley) Crider and their children, Jake, Nathan and Anna; uncle, Mark Webster and his children, Brenton, Reid and Abby; and a number of great aunts and uncles
