Funeral Services for Willie Leroy McLeod, Sr., 73, of Blackville, SC will be held eleven am Wednesday, October 15, 2014 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston with burial at the Springfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Willie passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014.
Born in Sumter, SC he was a son of the late Edith Emma McLeod Barwick and Clarence Macintosh and step-father, William Barwick. He retired with honors from Ducane as a forklift mechanic for more than thirty years. He was a member of Pinehill Freewill Baptist Church of the Pentecostal Faith. Willie was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra Padgett McLeod of the home; children, Jackie (Tony) Cook of Barnwell, Will (Amelia) McLeod of Barnwell, Malissa (David) Justice of Blackville, Ashley Padgett of Blackville, Janet Hutto of Cope, Shawn (Lynn) Padgett of Blackville; sisters, Bettie Linn Barnhill (Wade King) of Summerville, Cassie (Felipe) Cruz of Turbeville, Jenny Barwick of Turbeville; brothers, Edward Barwick of Sumter, Joie Barwick of Sumter; seventeen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Julette Williams McLeod and brothers, George and Benjamin Barwick.
