Memorial celebration for Miss Sandra Gail Smith, 41, of Aiken, SC will be held two p.m., Saturday, July 12, 2014 at South Aiken Church of God, 2700 Whiskey Road with Dr. Bruce Fox and Reverend Randy Brown officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Honorary pallbearers will be Members of Gideons International. Memorials may be sent to the Gideons International, P.O. Sandra went peacefully to Jesus July 6, 2014. She was a long term resident of Aiken and was known for her love for Jesus, having a heart for the handicapped, making and selling bracelets. She was a member of Living Hope Fellowship Church and was an honorary member of the Gideon Auxiliary. Sandra was proud her dad was a Gideon and was quick to remind him to give out Testaments.
Survivors include her parents, Thomas O. and Carolyn M. Smith of Aiken; a sister, Judith (Atsushi) Saburi of Ichinomiya, Japan; niece, Kimie Evelyn Saburi; nephew, Tomutoshi “Tom” Saburi; uncle, David Murphy; aunt, Sandra M. Owens; cousins, Sara (Matt) Thompson and David Owens.
